A novel 3D covalent organic framework membrane grown on a porous α-Al2O3 substrate under solvothermal conditions.

چکیده

A novel approach to grow a 3D COF-320 membrane on a surface-modified porous α-Al2O3 substrate is developed. A compact and uniform COF-320 membrane with a layer thickness of ∼4 μm is obtained. This is the first reported 3D COF functional membrane fabricated successfully on a common porous α-Al2O3 ceramic support. The gas permeation results indicate that the gas transport behavior is mainly governed by the predicted Knudsen diffusion process due to the large nanopores of 3D COF-320.

A 2D azine-linked covalent organic framework for gas storage applications.

A new azine-linked covalent organic framework, ACOF-1, was synthesized by condensation of hydrazine hydrate and 1,3,5-triformylbenzene under solvothermal conditions. ACOF-1 has a high surface area and a small pore size, and it can store up to 177 mg g(-1) of CO2, 9.9 mg g(-1) of H2, and 11.5 mg g(-1) of CH4, at 273 K and 1 bar, with high selectivity towards CO2 over N2 and CH4.

Transformation of tetra(4-cyanophenyl)ethylene under Lewis acidic (ZnCl2) conditions at 400 °C leads to the formation of a porous covalent triazine-based organic framework (CTF) with a high surface area (2235 m(2) g(-1)), high CO2 and CH4 uptakes and the highest hydrogen uptake for a CTF material (1.86 wt% at 77 K, 1 bar).
